Story
Hi, I'm James Lacek...
born and raised in Daniels, West Virginia. Fresh out of high school, I left and spent years learning the craft of visual and written storytelling. Now, I’ve brought that expertise home to help Mountain State businesses stand out, thrive, and grow.
My creative foundation in video and design began at the Art Institute of Atlanta and was further sharpened by an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. Today, I am a veteran copywriter and narrative strategist with experience working for and contracting with top global and Silicon Valley tech companies. I specialize in crafting compelling, dialogue-driven messaging that engages audiences and drives narrative momentum.
Words only tell half the story. As a Creative Director for national publishing companies and record labels, I have developed extensive expertise in visual storytelling, sequential art, and complex print layout design. I have successfully taken large-scale creative projects from initial concept to commercial publication.
At GraphicsWV, I oversee creative direction and strategy while partnering with a talented network of West Virginia professionals. This collaborative model means no project is too ambitious or too specialized. Together, we provide world-class design, copywriting, and print solutions for businesses throughout Southern West Virginia.
